Piedmont UU Church Listening Circles
Just a reminder that the Strategic Planning Committee in coordination with your Board of Trustees is planning to hold a series of Listening Circles via Zoom followed by a congregation-wide survey in the June-July time frame as part of our ongoing efforts to develop a new five year strategic plan for Piedmont UU Church.
Your participation in a listening circle and the survey are, of course, vitally important to the success of this endeavor, and will significantly inform the development of our new plan as we continue to navigate these complex and uncertain times. Each of these sessions will be scheduled for a minimum of an hour and a half and will be hosted by one or more facilitators in a small group format. This approach will allow all participants a chance to share their personal perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and desired future direction for our congregation over the next 5 years.
The first listening circle is scheduled for Wednesday May 19th at 7:00 pm, and the second circle is scheduled for Sunday, May 23rd, at 12:00. A minimum of 3 additional listening circles are tentatively scheduled over the coming weeks, depending upon how quickly the first two sessions fill up. As we seek to re-open our church on a limited basis over the summer for small group gatherings, we will make every effort to move toward in-person gatherings for some of these sessions.
