Ostara and Spring Equinox

Ostara and Spring Equinox

Spring is a time of awakening and renewal, growth and expansion. Signs of Spring are emerging all around us. Blooming daffodils, flowering trees and shrubs color our vision. The sounds of calling frogs and chirping birds fill our ears, not to mention that the days are noticeably longer and are getting warmer.

It’s time to celebrate the lengthening days with an Ostara celebration. Our Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church Covenant of UU Pagans (CUUPs) Chapter is hosting a ritual for Ostara on Saturday March 16th in the sanctuary at our University Gathering location. Doors will open at 6:30 and our ritual will begin at 7pm.

If you feel called to do so, you may bring springtime decorations for the altar, like flowers or fertility symbols. Also, you are invited to bring a snack to share after our rite if you wish. All are welcome!
