From Your Lake Norman Gathering Minister
Dear Members and Friends,
In a few weeks, I will be halfway around the world in South India with my family, living a very different life. As you might imagine, I am full of excitement. The chance to experience the world from another perspective is an amazing gift. Travel, for me, has always offered this kind of opportunity to grow and deepen in my appreciation of Life.
While I am away, the Lake Norman Board will be the primary group to contact for general questions related to the business of the congregation.
Rev. Mary Frances Comer is available for pastoral emergencies and she and our congregational care team will be able to work together to manage other needs as these may arise.
I am still putting together the contact lists of speakers, musicians, and other Sunday service volunteers. These lists will be made available to all participating volunteers and staff. Rev. Leland Bond-Upson and Rev. Justin Martin have graciously agreed to be available for consultation regarding program concerns.
I will be checking email periodically and I am working with the LKN board to create opportunities to check on how things are going.
I am deeply grateful to all those who have agreed to participate in programming during my time away, particularly my colleagues. To the people of the Lake Norman congregation: I hope our time apart will offer us all new insight on the meaning and purpose of our shared life in community.
Wishing you all peace and blessings for the journey ahead.
Yours in faith and service,
