Children and Youth Religious Education

Religious Education for Children & Youth

What is Religious Education (RE)?

RE focuses on lessons that help children and youth deepen their connection to Unitarian Universalism. Lessons are tied to a monthly theme as well as our 7 Principles and 6 Sources. Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church (PUUC) is utilizing theme based resources from Touchstones which connects the curricula the youth and children study to the worship services and other ministries such as Chalice Circles.

While RE in-person classes are on hiatus, we offer a weekly religious education newsletter that include stories and reflections for youth and children. Information about any upcoming events that are geared toward children and youth is also shared.
