April Letter from the Minister

Letter from the Minister

Our theme for April is Emergence. As the seasons are turning to springtime, this is also a time of emergence for our church family here at Piedmont UU church. We are beginning to emerge from the challenging time of the pandemic, as well as church and leadership transitions. The air of emergence fills the space with our community, with all sorts of possibilities before us. It is an exciting time! April holds our very special day of Easter and Flower Communion – a very present symbol of emergence and new life. We are also receiving new members on that day, another symbol of growth and emergence.
The week after Easter we will observe our 35th anniversary. Some of our charter members are still present with us, and we look forward to remembering and celebrating our history, especially as we plan for our future. This day of celebration will continue with our Fellowship Time and a special birthday cake!
Life consists of periods of emergence – in both big and small ways. I look forward to exploring this topic with you, both individually and communally, in the coming month.
Many blessings,
Rev. Amy
