Starting July 22, 2018–Gentle Yoga (University Gathering)
Meets Weekly on Sundays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary
Classes are open to all, and the fee is donation base. Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat or large bath towel. Chairs will be used as needed. Contact Leai at info@puuc.org with questions.

Ethical Explorations (University Gathering)
Meets weekly on Sundays from 11:00-noon in the Meeting House
The Ethical Explorations group collectively choose books, magazine articles, etc. to focus the group’s attention on various ethical questions.  If you have questions or would like to be added to the group email list, please contact George Bame (gbame@pobox.com).

MONTHLY GROUPS:

A.D.O.R.E. (A Dialogue on Race and Ethnicity)
The A.D.O.R.E. team supports the church’s mission of “cherishing diversity.” We seek to develop cultural awareness and to ensure that our environment is one of inclusion and celebration.

The First Breakfast Club (Meets Offsite)
The First Breakfast Club is a group of people, 55 and over, who meet for breakfast the first Saturday of each month. We meet at different locations throughout the year. Contact info@puuc.org to RSVP.

Men’s Group (University Gathering)
A diverse group of men who meet once a month for general discussion, education, entertainment, and spiritual growth. Those who cannot attend have an opportunity to participate in our discussions by email.

Rowan Humanists (Salisbury Gathering)
Consisting of members and nonmembers of Piedmont UU Church, Rowan Humanists offers participants the opportunity to talk about how they as humanists interact with each other and particularly with relatives, friends, and acquaintances who are members of traditional Christian churches.

Chalice Circles
Small (up to ten people) theme-based discussion groups led by a facilitator.  Chalice groups meet once per month and conduct one service project per year (e.g., Thanksgiving Meals for the homeless or assisting with a Blood Drive).  The Chalice Circle “season” runs from September through May.  Sign-ups are in the fall.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES:

First Sunday Food Drive (University Gathering)
Help provide meals to people in need by bringing non-perishable food items on the first Sunday of each month. Place your donations on the back counter in the sanctuary.  The food you provide will be distributed by the Second Harvest Food Bank and will go to soup kitchens, emergency pantries,  homeless shelters, and low-income day cares in surrounding counties.

Pasta or Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
Meals in a Can (Soup, Stew, Chili)
Instant Potatoes
Pancake Mix
Canned or Dry Beans
Canned Fruit in Juice

Healthy Snacks (Granola Bars, Nuts, Dried Fruit)
Non-food Items (Paper Products, Diapers, Cleaning Supplies, and Personal Hygiene Items)
