Ethical Explorations (University Gathering)
Meets weekly on Sundays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Meeting House
The Ethical Explorations group collectively chooses books, magazine articles, etc. to focus the group’s attention on various ethical questions.  If you have questions or would like to be added to the group email list, please contact George Bame (gbame@pobox.com).

MONTHLY GROUPS:

The First Breakfast Club (Meets Offsite)
The First Breakfast Club is a group of people, 55 and over, who meet for breakfast the first Saturday of each month. We meet at different locations throughout the year. Contact info@puuc.org to RSVP.

Second Friday Ladies Lunch
Location: Offsite
Second Friday at 1 PM at various restaurants in the greater Charlotte area
All women are welcome. RSVP to info@puuc.org by the Wednesday prior if you will be attending.

Chalice Circles
Small (up to ten people) theme-based discussion groups led by a facilitator.  Chalice groups meet once per month and conduct one service project per year (e.g., Thanksgiving Meals for the homeless or assisting with a Blood Drive).  The Chalice Circle “season” runs from September through May.  Sign-ups are in the fall.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES:

First Sunday Food Drive
Help provide meals to people in need by bringing non-perishable food items on the first Sunday of each month. The food you provide will be donated to local food banks in Charlotte and Salisbury.
Donation Suggestions:

  • Canned tuna, chicken, or salmon
  • Peanut Butter
  • Pasta or Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
  • Meals in a Can (Soup, Stew, Chili)
  • Instant Potatoes
  • Pancake Mix
  • Canned or Dry Beans
  • Canned Fruit in Juice
  • Canned Low Sodium Vegetables
  • Whole Grain Cereals
  • Healthy Snacks (Granola Bars, Nuts, Dried Fruit)
  • Non-food Items (Paper Products, Diapers, Cleaning Supplies, and Personal Hygiene Items)
