A Letter From Rev. Shakeisha

A Letter From Rev. Shakeisha

Greetings members and friends,

It’s finally Fall Y’all!!! I love October, when the weather begins to cool, the colors begin to change, and there seems to be a new excitement in my house as Halloween and Christmas begin to approach. I hope this month greets you with time to savor this season of awe that surrounds us.

If you signed up for postcards through our campaign with UU Justice NC, thank you. If you missed this opportunity, there still might be time to grab a dozen or so. Please email shakeisha@puuc.org and I’ll try my best to make it happen. Of course, there will be plenty of more opportunities in the future. Also, don’t forget to vote on Nov. 8th!

This month will bring a couple of outside opportunities to gather and fellowship together, so please check your weekly email announcements to see when they’re happening. As we move into November, I want to make sure you know about Piedmont UU’s new EcoWise Group focused on the environment, sustainability, and climate crisis social justice. We’ll be having our first meeting on Nov. 2nd at 7pm via Zoom. Piedmont UU will also be adopting a highway as part of this new group, another way to both fellowship and serve.

We’ve also recently added back our Coffee Fellowship time after the Sunday worship services. It’s lovely to see so many lovely folx enjoy that time together as safely as we can.

In peace,

Rev. Shakeisha
