March Letter from the Minister

Letter from the Minister

Even though it feels as if we didn’t have a winter in recent months, we know the month of March brings about the beginning of Springtime in this region of North Carolina. We already have some blooming daffodils outside the Meeting House, which I always think of as the first sign of spring. The visual reminders of new growth and new life connect with the theme of Transformation which we will explore in the coming weeks.

The spiritual path is about transformation — every moment and every day and every year. We’ll discuss various aspects of transformation, that emergence into who we are called and meant to be, just like the daffodil which grows from the green stalks in the dirt.

This month also holds a couple special Sundays I hope you will place on your calendar. March 24 we will have a covered dish potluck lunch after worship, followed by a children’s Easter Egg hunt. Easter is March 31, and our annual Flower Communion service is held that day. You are invited to bring cut flowers to share with this beautiful ritual.

I look forward to seeing all of you as we continue along our individual, and communal, journey of transformation.

Blessings and Peace,
Rev. Amy
