Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 9704 Mallard Creek Road, is offering space to interested renters on a one-time or weekly basis at reasonable rates. The facility consists of air conditioned, handicapped accessible Church building with large open sanctuary overlooking wooded area, kitchen, patio, several classrooms, ample parking and wooded grounds.
Sanctuary: Large open space – 33’ by 47’ with ceiling clearances of 10’ to 12’. Long wall consists of large windows overlooking area of dense, mature trees. Two sets of double interior doors lead to hallway; two single outside doors lead to patio.
Patio: Shaded with garden access – 21’ by 44’
Foyer: 12’ by 17’ with double doors from covered entranceway.
Full Kitchen: 11’ by 17’ with full-size refrigerator, with freezer; stove, sink, dishwasher, microwave, table, ample counter space, and door-covered opening with counter into sanctuary.
Bathrooms: Separate facilities for men and women.
Classrooms: Two large rooms with windows divisible into 3 to 5 smaller rooms. One is a 51’ by 14’ room divisible into 2 rooms of 12’ by 14 each and 1 room of 17’ by 14’. The other is a 24’ by 14’ room divisible into 2 rooms of 12’ by 14’. Ceiling heights are 7’.
Grounds: 6.4 mostly wooded acres including parking for 85 cars, landscaped buildings, a playground, and a nature trail.
Furnishings: Tables and chairs. Podium with microphone, sound system and piano available with approval.
